Supplying Crop Residue

One-stop supply source

Largest Grower Network

Pacific Ag is North America’s largest crop residue harvest and supply company. We serve two primary customers: first, it is the individual growers for whom we provide residue management services after their grain harvest, and second, it is the downstream customer for whom we provide a crop residue product that matches their specifications and needs.

We’ve been in the industry since 1998, and conduct our business the same way we always have — working one-on-one with our customers, whether on the grower side or the market side and focusing on long-term relationships over short-term deals.

Mushroom Compost Production

Pacific Ag is the largest individual supplier of wheat straw to the North American commercial mushroom industry. This started over a decade ago as a supplier to the largest US and Canadian Pacific Northwest commercial mushroom producers.

Today, with harvested straw supply across the US, Pacific Ag harvests and ships wheat straw to composter/growers in Pennsylvania, Florida, Illinois, Oklahoma, Texas, and California in addition to our long-standing customers in Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia.

Our customers’ reliance on Pacific Ag has been driven by our consistent, large-scale supply (with multi-year contracts), and strict adherence to product specifications. By controlling the harvest all the way to the delivery of large volumes of straw from multiple regions, Pacific Ag can limit risks associated with supply and cost, while meeting the straw specifications for length, aging, moisture, and low ash.

Dairies

For nearly two decades, Pacific Ag has been a supplier of baled wheat straw and other forages to some of the largest dairies in the US. Today, we are harvesting and building wheat straw and other forage supply in multiple regions to meet the feed and bedding needs of dairies in the Pacific Northwest, the greater High Plains region and the Upper Midwest.

Feedlots

No volume is too large or too small, and because of our national footprint and multiple supply areas, especially in the High Plains region, we will always have baled and ground corn stover and other forages available.

Our growth has been driven by our consistent, large-scale supply (with multi-year contracts), and strict adherence to product specifications.

By controlling the harvest all the way to the delivery, Pacific Ag can limit risks associated with supply and cost, while meeting the specifications for clean material.

Don’t pay for dirt when you can be saving money. Most baled or ground corn stover contains at least 20 percent ash or dirt. Pacific Ag guarantees a maximum of 13 percent ash or dirt content.

Exporting Hay

Pacific Ag has been harvesting and exporting hay and straw forage since 1998

Since 1998, Pacific Ag and its network of growers have expanded to become a significant US provider of baled forage products to the Far East markets of Japan, South Korea and China, and Middle East markets of the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

Our customers’ reliance on Pacific Ag has been earned by our consistent, large-scale supply (multi-year contracts available), and strict adherence to product specifications.

By controlling the harvest all the way to the delivery of large volumes of alfalfa and grass hay and straw, Pacific Ag sets the mark for its customers to enjoy reliable supplies and quality.

With global demand for animal protein projected to rise 72 percent (over 1999 levels) by the year 2030, demand for forage will continue to increase Pacific Ag’s exports.

Erosion Control

One of the fastest-growing segments of the erosion control industry is blanket and wattle manufacturing. These open-weave erosion control products are filled with straw and have many desirable, environmentally-friendly attributes in controlling soil erosion at a construction site.

Since early 2015, Pacific Ag has become a major supplier of wheat straw to the companies that manufacture these blankets and wattles across the US. Our growth as a supplier is directly related to having developed straw supply in most of the major wheat-straw-growing regions of the country.

Our customers’ reliance on Pacific Ag has been driven by our consistent, large-scale supply, fixed pricing (multi-year contracts available), and strict adherence to product specifications.
